Environmental clean-up and Abraumdeponie Langes Feld GmbH was founded by several companies for the purpose of environmental clean-up of the Langes Feld contaminated site. The project objectives were to secure the W15/Langes Feld contaminated site, operate the landfill as well as carry out landscaping in accordance with project specifications. The company is now a majority-owned subsidiary of PORR environmental engineering GmbH, with U.D.T. Umwelt- und Deponietechnik GmbH as a further shareholder. As a self-financed project, the costs of the work involved in securing the contaminated site were covered by the approved landfill operations.
